About
What began as a youthful aspiration to become a high school teacher evolved into a lifelong passion for jewellery. At 17, James Ramsey embarked on his journey in the jewellery industry, starting as an apprentice at Ballintyne's Jewellery. This foundational experience ignited a deep-seated love for the craft.
Seeking to further hone his skills, James moved to Melbourne to work with the renowned jeweller Frederick March. Under his mentorship, James refined his artistry, learning the nuances of design and craftsmanship that would define his future creations.
In 1997, at the age of 34, James returned to Adelaide and established his own business. The early days were challenging, but the warm reception from the local community fueled his determination.
After seven successful years in Somerton Park, James relocated his business to Brighton, assembling a team of skilled manufacturing jewellers. Together, they have continued to serve multiple generations of the people of Brighton and visitors to the state, crafting bespoke pieces that celebrate life's special moments.
Beyond his workbench, James is deeply committed to giving back to the society. He actively supports various charitable organizations, including the RSPCA, Rotary Club, the Greek Association, and the Seaford Yacht Club, reflecting his dedication to the community that has supported his journey.
